Ogilvy Labs digital research and innovation unit ‘shut down’09.08.2016
WPP’s Ogilvy Group has closed its innovation and research unit Ogilvy Labs, and the five-strong team is understood to have left the business.
Yershon set up the London-based digital innovation lab in 2008, having first joined OgilvyOne in 2008. Ogilvy Lab contributed to projects for clients including American Express, Diageo, BP, Ford and IBM.
Responding to well-wishers on Twitter, Yershon said that she feels “gracious for 16 amazing network years” at Ogilvy, but is excited at the “freedom to find new challenges to get [her] teeth into now”.
Ogilvy & Mather was yet to comment at the time of publishing.
