IPG Mediabrands appoint Chad Stoller to new global innovation role

Five-year IPG Mediabrands veteran Chad Stoller has been promoted to the newly created role of executive vice president, global innovation director.

Stoller, who most recently served as managing director for the IPG Media Lab, will focus on finding and incorporating new tech, creating a new profit stream.

“IPG Mediabrands is committed to changing the industry,” said Stoller. “To do this, our network is not only providing clients with the insights and technologies that will shape clients’ marketing plans, but with the leadership and actionable strategies to make them real. I’m excited to lead this effort in partnership with our agencies and clients. ”

Stoller’s experience leading the Lab’s growth from Los Angeles into a global hub and leading strategic investments for IPG, as well as his prior experience at BBDO and Amell Group, made him an obvious candidate for the role.

“Chad is a natural at identifying and applying tomorrow’s technologies and trends that will impact our clients’ businesses today,” said IPG Mediabrands global chief executive officer Henry Tajer. “This role gives him the runway to do what he’s done so brilliantly at the Lab, across our global business units.”

This reshuffle comes shortly after the recruitment of Christian Scholz by IPG Mediabrands to run Initiative Germany.
