ITV’s Stephen Byrne joins SpotX to bolster Nordic business development27.06.2016
SpotX is expanding its operations in the Nordic region with the opening of a new office in Sweden and the appointment of ITV’s Stephen Byrne as senior business development director for the region.
Byrne, who will be based in the new Stockholm office, will be responsible for building a team to assist Nordic broadcasters and publishers to utilise programmatic video technology whilst advising on revenue strategies and expanding supply.

Byrne’s appointment follows a strong year for the video inventory management platform, with revenues up 56% year-on-year in 2015, and international headcount growth at 139%.
“Stephen’s strategic experience and extensive knowledge of online video, programmatic advertising and broadcast media from ITV and Videoplaza makes him the perfect person to complement SpotX’s local presence in the Nordics, enabling us to connect with our customers more effectively and engage with new organisations quickly,” said SpotX managing director Benelux and Nordics Elwin Gastelaars.
The new office will add to SpotX’s current present in the region in London, Belfast, Amsterdam and Hamburg, with EMEA the fastest growing region for the company. Globally, 15% revenue growth is accounted for by mobile and connected TV advertising in the area.
