Lexus teams up with Mark Ronson for aptly-named ‘Make Your Mark’ campaign

International music producer Mark Ronson has joined with Lexus on a six month campaign which will deliver a range of music, art and tech content and experiences for customers and fans to launch its new flagship coupe, the Lexus LC.

‘Make Your Mark’ follows on from the Toyota-owned premium marque’s 2015 international campaign, ‘The Life RX’, featuring actor Jude Law.

The campaign was led by communications agency Freud, with strategy and paid media handled by The & Partnership. Website activity was devised by Amaze. It will run across all European markets, plus the US, Canada, Japan, China and the Middle East.

Alain Uyttenhoven, head of Lexus Europe said that, in Ronson, the brand had found the right collaborator for the Make Your Mark campaign.

“The Lexus LC symbolises the beginning of a new phase for Lexus which is all about creating greater synergy between engineering and design,” added Uyttenhoven.

“Who better to work with on this than Mark – a man who has made a significant contribution to the world of music through his incredible performances and collaborations.”

“I always like to work with collaborators who are innovative and unique in and out of the studio,” added Ronson, the man behind worldwide hit single ‘Uptown Funk’.

“When I was approached by Lexus with the concept of this campaign and saw the new LC, it felt fresh and exciting; I was drawn to the idea of using music to inspire and create an experience around this car.”
