Matthew Dearden departs as Clear Channel announces leadership reshuffle26.07.2016
Clear Channel International (CCI) has announced plans to restructure its senior leadership team following the departure of European president Matthew Dearden and chief transformation officer Patrick Ugeux.
The changes aim to drive grater operational efficiency across the OOH company’s international business portfolio to support its digital expansion strategy.
“I’m proud to have been part of the team leading such a successful digital transformation and growth of talent, positioning Clear Channel at the forefront of the out-of-home digital revolution,” said Dearden, who joined the company in 2010.
“I wish the Clear Channel business and people every success.”
According to CCI chairman and chief executive William Eccleshare, OOH is transitioning into a “truly digital medium thanks to the creative and engagement opportunities made possible by new technologies”.
“To help us realise these opportunities at speed and scale I will be working more closely with our Business Units,” Eccleshare continued. “CCI is building an agile advertising culture, allowing us to be able to quickly respond to the changing needs of our customers, and deliver creative, smart and effective audience-based solutions.
“I would like to add my personal thanks to both Matthew and Patrick for their huge contributions to the business, and wish them all the very best for the future.”
As part of the company’s ongoing international growth strategy, it recently won the contract to manage Barcelona’s street furniture for $17.1m.
