MediaCom leads the shortlist for Festival of Media Global Awards 201607.04.2016
The shortlist for the Festival of Media Global Awards has been released, and MediaCom leads the pack with 19 campaigns across 17 categories, and a total of 35 nominations.
‘100% Kosher Head & Shoulders’, by MediaCom Israel for Procter & Gamble, Vodafone’s ‘Sunday Grannies’ by UM Romania, and ‘Lucy the Robot’, by independent agency Atomic 212 in Australia for Double Robotics, are the campaigns leading the shortlist with five nominations each.
The markets leading the list are the UK, US, Australia and India. Work from Romania also made a strong impression on the judges, and is shortlisted in nine categories.
This year’s ceremony will see the introduction of four new categories: D’Atlas Brand Purpose Award in partnership with Discovery Communications, Best Campaign for Commerce, The Best Insight Award and Best Not-For-Profit Campaign.
The winners will be decided by final jury meeting in Rome, then announced at the Festival of Media Global on 19 May as part of the conference at the Rome Cavalieri.
This year’s jury includes the chair, P&G’s Harley Procter brand director Allan Soares, as well as MasterCard global media marketing vice president Virginia Pereira Alvarez, Mondelēz International director of media Europe and global digital media partnerships Gerry D’Angelo, and Airbnb director of online marketing and media Paul Jeszenszky.
