OMG’s Mark Halliday promoted to managing director of Accuen APAC05.04.2016
Omnicom Media Group (OMG) has appointed Mark Halliday as APAC managing director for its Accuen programmatic agency, directing programmatic planning and buying for the group and its agency brands OMD and PHD.
Halliday, currently head of OMG’s mobile specialist unit Airwave APAC, will also be responsible for overseeing development of custom programmatic solutions for clients across Omnicom Group.
He will report to OMG’s chief executive officer for digital in APAC, Lee Smith.
“Mark’s record of expanding our overall mobile capability and solutions portfolio, while also growing mobile investment in the programmatic space, made him the ideal choice for this role,” said Smith.
“As the mobile and programmatic spaces collide and the cross -screen optimisation imperative grows, Mark’s experience and expertise will help assure the most effective and efficient programmatic solutions for our clients.”
OMG APAC chief executive Cheuk Chiang added that Halliday’s track record of “leading a rapidly accelerating and evolving category” will add value to clients’ programmatic strategies.
Jonathan Mackenzie, who previously held the role, will leave the group in June.
