PHD expands network with senior Worldwide Board appointments02.11.2016
Omnicom Media Group’s PHD has announced that it is expanding its Worldwide Board with two senior appointments, following its most successful year to date.
Hilary Jeffrey has been appointed to the newly created role of PHD Worldwide executive vice president, overseeing the integration and smooth running of new and existing key global clients. Omnicom Media Group Central and Eastern Europe chief executive officer Ian Clarke is taking over from Jeffrey as PHD EMEA president, with both roles effective from 1 December.
“I am excited about this new phase which will see me focus even more closely on our incredible global client partners,” said Jeffrey. “At the same time, I am delighted we can bring in a talent like Ian Clarke to work specifically with our PHD EMEA markets and help them reach the next level”.
Clarke commented that he feels PHD has and always will be unique in its culture of thought-leadership, creativity and innovation. “I am looking forward to working with our PHD EMEA teams in developing the next evolution of pioneering communications for our clients,” he added.
The management has been bolstered due to unprecedented new business growth, following wins including Volkswagen Group and Delta Airlines, as well as additional assignments from existing clients like Ferrero, GSK and Unilever.
Jeffrey has been with the Group for over 25 years, joining PHD as president in 2006. Clarke joined OMG in 2006 as a global account director.
Jeffrey and Clarke will report to PHD Worldwide chief executive officer Mike Cooper with Clarke also reporting to Omnicom Media Group chief executive officer for EMEA Colin Gottlieb.
“Given our global growth, it is vital that we expand our network leadership to ensure we do not miss a beat in servicing all our clients’ business needs,” said Cooper. “I am delighted to have an experienced team of Hilary and Ian’s calibre at the helm.”
