Starcom wins Merck’s consumer healthcare media business

Merck’s Consumer Healthcare division has appointed Starcom as its global media agency partner following a competitive pitch.

“We are very excited to expand our previous relationship with Starcom to now be working with Starcom as our new Global Media partner,” said Merck Consumer Healthcare global brand director Beate Rosenthal.

“Starcom’s global organisation and profound expertise in integrated communication strategies and execution coupled with a highly energetic team will allow us to further build Merck love brands in the digital age.”

Starcom global brand president Lisa Donohue added: “[Merck is] on an exciting journey, and we look forward to delivering the agility, digital savvy and scale to unlock deep consumer connections with their brands,” she added.

Starcom continues its new business haul, having recently won Visa Europe media, Mars global media planning and FCA media planning and buying across EMEA and APAC.

Publicis Media’s Mediavest|Spark was also recently appointed to KFC’s and MTV’s US media accounts.
